There's a LOT of hole saw options out there and most are pretty good. Lenox ones like this are good because they're sharp so they cut well and the thin wall means a thinner 'kerf' requiring less force for cutting. Large plug-ejection slots make drilling multiple holes in thick wood more efficient too.

I've got an assortment of brands and designs but if I had to pick one, Lenox would be high on my list.
